Terms of service

The agreement between you and Pillbo. Plain language, and short enough to actually read.

Last updated 18 September 2026

1. Pillbo is not medical advice

This is the important one. Pillbo is a record-keeping and reminder tool for medicines you and your prescriber have already decided on. It does not diagnose anything, does not recommend or adjust a treatment, and does not check for interactions between medicines.

Never rely on Pillbo alone for a decision about your health, and never delay seeking medical advice because of something you saw in the app. If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service.

Reminders depend on your device: notifications can be delayed or suppressed by the operating system, a low battery, a lost phone, or a permission you did not grant. Pillbo cannot guarantee that a reminder will arrive.

2. Accepting these terms

By installing or using Pillbo you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.

3. Your records

What you put into Pillbo is yours. We claim no ownership of it. You are responsible for its accuracy — in particular, for making sure a medicine, dose and schedule you enter match what was actually prescribed to you.

Your device holds the authoritative copy. Keeping a backup is your responsibility: if you have not enabled account backup, uninstalling the app or losing the device loses the records with it.

4. Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your credentials to yourself and tell us at support@trypillbo.com if you believe someone else has accessed it. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms or the law.

5. Sharing with other people

When you invite someone to follow a profile, you are choosing to disclose that profile’s information to them. Send invite links only to people you intend to have that access, and revoke sharing when it is no longer wanted. Anyone who receives a working invite link can use it.

6. Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold through the App Store or Google Play, are billed by them, and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel or manage a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings — cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds are handled under the store’s own policy.

Prices may change. We will give notice in the app before a change applies to a renewal.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Pillbo to store or share another person’s health information without their consent, or the consent of someone legally able to give it for them;
  • attempt to access accounts, records or systems that are not yours;
  • reverse engineer, resell, or build a competing service out of the app or its APIs;
  • use the app in a way that breaks the law where you are.

8. The app itself

We own Pillbo, its name, its design and its code, and grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice before removing something you depend on.

9. Warranties and liability

Pillbo is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a reminder will always be delivered.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £50. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights your local law gives you.

10. Ending this agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting the app and, if you made one, your account — see Delete your data. We may end it if you materially break these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Pillbo afterwards means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which it may.
