1. Who we are

Pillbo is operated from Australia. Contact support@trypillbo.com about your information or this policy.

2. Your medicine records

Medicines, schedules, dose history, notes and care profiles are stored on your device. Your saved routine works offline without an account. Online search, scanning, backup and sharing need a connection.

3. Accounts, backup and sharing

If you create an account, we process your email address, profile details and sign-in information. Apple or Google may provide profile information when you use their sign-in options.

For eligible signed-in Pillbo Pro accounts, cloud backup automatically uploads records and profile photos through our hosting provider, Supabase. Shared profiles also upload the records needed for sharing.

A person you invite can see that profile's medicines and dose record. You control whether they can log doses, edit medicines or see stock. Medicine notes are not shared with friends. Removing a person ends their authorised access, but cannot erase copies or screenshots they have already saved.

4. Medicine search and label scanning

Medicine search sends the search text to the U.S. National Library of Medicine's RxNorm service. Like other online requests, this exposes your IP address to that service. Your dose history is not part of the search request.

If you scan a label, the image is sent through our server to Google’s servers for processing by Vertex AI. Google may process it outside Australia. A label may contain names, prescription details or other health information. Only scan information you are authorised to share. You can enter a medicine manually instead.

5. Notifications and purchases

Online notifications use a device token. Shared-profile nudges and remote Live Activity updates also require the information used to deliver them, such as scheduling details. Your device's notification settings control what appears on screen.

App stores handle payments. RevenueCat helps us check your purchase and subscription status. Deleting your Pillbo account does not cancel a store subscription.

6. Diagnostics and optional analytics

Sentry processes crash and performance diagnostics. The app filters sensitive details before sending reports. Optional usage analytics use PostHog and are off until you choose to share them. They cover app use and broad setup choices, not medicine names, notes, photos or dose history. Session recording is disabled.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. We share information with the people you invite and the service providers described in this policy to provide the features you use. Pillbo does not use your records to train AI models.

7. The website and support

Our website host processes request information needed to serve and protect the site. If you send feedback or email us, we process your message and the contact details you provide to respond. Avoid including health information unless it is needed for your request.

If you join the website waitlist, we store your email address and your choice of iPhone or Android with Resend to send Pillbo launch emails. You can unsubscribe using the link in those emails, or contact us to request removal.

8. Storage and protection

Your saved medicine records are stored on your device, with cloud backup and shared records held through Supabase. Label-scanning data is processed on Google’s servers and may be stored there under Google’s applicable retention policies.

Online features send information over HTTPS. Service providers may process information outside Australia, including medicine searches sent to NLM in the United States. Access to account records is restricted, but no service can promise complete security.

We keep account records to provide the service until you delete them or ask us to do so. Providers may retain service logs, backups or purchase records under their own retention requirements. We do not promise immediate removal from every provider's backups.

9. Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to access or correct information we hold by emailing support@trypillbo.com. See Delete your data for account and device deletion steps. We may need to verify your identity.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. We will notify affected people and the regulator of an eligible data breach when the law requires it.

10. Age and consent

You must be at least 16 to use Pillbo. An adult can manage a care profile for a child. Only enter or share another person's information when you have their consent or authority to act for them.

11. Changes

We update this page when our practices change. The date above identifies this version.
